Amit Prakash

Artistic Collaborator

Amit is a Sound Designer who has worked on numerous productions for Project Y since its inception. He has designed Lion in the Streets, Zastrozzi: The Master of Discipline, One Flea Spare, The Crackwalker, Either/Or (NY Fringe Festival World Premiere), In the Boom Boom Room, Thérèse Raquin Desire, Baby Boom (New Orleans Fringe Festival), FUBAR (59E59 Theaters), and The Revival (The Lion at Theater Row), for which he has received an IT Award nomination for best sound design. He has also designed for the Virginia Arts Center, Mile Square Theater, and the New Orleans Theatre Experiment (N.O.T.E.). Amit has a B.A. in English from Oberlin College and a Ph.D. in Modern European History from Columbia University. He currently teaches history at Bryn Mawr College.
