Ben Hagen

Ben Hagen is honored to be associated with Project Y, having lit their New York productions of Therese Raquin Desire, FUBAR, and The Revival, for which he has been nominated for a 2011 IT Award for Best Lighting Design. Ben has designed several theatrical productions including: a reading of The Normal Heart at the Walter Kerr Theatre on Broadway, directed by Joel Grey; Man of La Mancha (Merry Go Round Playhouse); The Wiz (Duke Ellington School for the Arts). He has also designed museum installations, concerts, trade shows, and special events. Ben has worked as a Lighting Associate on theatrical productions in LA, Washington DC, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Edinburgh, Beijing, and on Broadway. He has also worked with lighting directors for several televised events, such as BET’s Rip The Runway series, and Sondheim, the Birthday Concert from Avery Fisher Hall. Ben has also worked extensively with Lincoln Center Festival: most notably as Lighting Supervisor, hosting the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 2011 residency at the Park Avenue Armory.
